Vessel Fitter/Welder – Floresville, Texas

The Vessel Fitter/Welder is responsible for MIG, TIG and stainless-steel welding techniques to weld various components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

Description of Duties:

  • Read & understand welding symbols, welding procedures, and mechanical and structural drawings.
  • Observe and recognize problems during the welding process and adjust speed, voltage, amperage, or feed of the rod accordingly.
  • Perform code (ASME, AWS or API) compliant welds using GMAW, SMAW, GTAW & FCAW processes.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a welding qualification test for FCAW and/or GMAW welding process in the 3G & 4G position using Carbon Steel plate, SMAW and GTAW welding processes in the 6G position with carbon and/or stainless-steel pipe.
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in the fitting/welding Industry, specifically pertaining to pressure vessels is preferred.
  • Pipeline experience is preferred
  • Knowledge and capability of multiple welding processes is preferred.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • TWIC and OSHA 10 Hour Certification is preferred.
  • Eligibility for employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screen.

Location: Floresville, Texas
Duration: Indefinitely, depending on Workload
Payrate: $26-$32, depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 – $32.00 per hour
