Key Responsibilities
Ability to read and work from shop/production drawings, blueprints, and welding process specification.
Ability to read and understand welding symbol to product a sound, clean and quality weld.
Fit and prepare jigs for welding components.
Operate brazing and soldering equipment.
Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines.
Safely operate manual and/or semi-automatic flame cutting equipment.
Ability to work safely and efficiently.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
1st or 2nd year apprentice welder.
Physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
Knowledge of various types of construction equipment is an asset
Prior experience working within a paving company is a definite asset.
Must comply with Drug and Alcohol testing requirements.
Ability to work overtime as required.
