POSITION SUMMARY

This is an entry level position doing basic welding and fabrication. Welding ticket not required; training will be provided. This position will also contribute to the warehouse in the daily functions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Basic welding of brackets for field use.
  • Measuring and cutting materials in preparation for fabrication.
  • Using steel bandsaw, punch machine, drill press and steel cold cut saw.
  • Conduct warehouse housekeeping duties
  • Ensure organization and proper storage of warehouse stock
  • Complete physical re-stocking of bunks/shelves with materials used for fabrication.
  • Loading and unloading of various warehouse materials
  • Adopt a preventative approach to ensuring a safe and clean warehouse operation
  • Some painting of parts fabricated

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Able to lift to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Good work ethic is a must and ability to work independently
  • Must have work boots in good condition
  • Training will be provided for welding

WORKING AT A LAKESIDE LOCATION

  • Flexibility is key; applicants should be open to working voluntary and/or mandatory extra hours and willing to work at a fast pace.
  • Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 8-10 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Noise levels vary. Hearing protection is available.
  • Operate carts, dollies, hand trucks, forklifts, and other equipment to move large quantities of merchandise.
  • Ability to be on the move for your whole shift. Your shifts will include a combination of standing in one place for extended periods, walking around the facility.
  • Lift up to 22 kilograms/49 pounds
  • Must be proficient at using wrenches and hand tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00 per hour
