Location: Jacksonville, FL

Shift: M-F 11am-8pm

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY

Responsible for all shipping and receiving of products/goods.

SAFETY

Working safely is a condition of employment.

Employee is required to follow all Safety procedures and rules.

Employee is required to properly wear all required PPE as noted in PPE assessments and JSA’s.

Employee is required to perform pre-operation safety inspections (hoist, forklifts, etc.).

Responsible for review and sign off on all JSA’s every 6 months.

Observe SWFP safety rules and regulations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must work as a team member to improve safety, efficiency and quality.

Responsible for inspecting all shipping and receiving of products.

Responsible for loading and unloading trucks per order.

Responsible for pick-up, inspection, and placement of finished products to be shipped.

Check and maintain quality critical aspects of duties as defined by standard operating procedures.

Report all mechanical, electrical, and quality problems to the shift supervisor.

Responsible for housekeeping and organization of work area including cleaning and placement of equipment or tools.

Perform duties that may be deemed necessary by the supervision or management.

EQUIPMENT USED

Scales, scanners, printers, conveyors, shrink wrap, tools, ladders, welders, calculator, and multiple material

handling devices (i.e. hoist, forklift, pallet jacks etc.)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Must be able to work unsupervised and understand quality needs of the facility.

Must use good judgment when operating machinery and equipment and determining causes of quality

problems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal plant conditions. Exposed to cold in winter and heat in summer with fairly high level of noise, dust, and fumes.

Job requires a large percentage (95%) of standing and/or walking time during required shift.

Shifts may require climbing, pulling, reaching, cutting, and bending for extended periods of time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Class A CDL required.

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Must be able to read and write. Arithmetic encountered is addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, division and decimals.

Individual should be able to perform satisfactorily in six months.
