Overview

Essential Qualifications, Main Duties and Responsibilities

 Conducts pre-shift inspection of the equipment and tools

 Reports deficiencies to the production supervisor

 Operates equipment in a safe manner.

 Operates bands saw, drill press.

 Cuts metal, pipes, bending, threading and tapping

 Maintain and perform minor repairs to the equipment

 Cleans the equipment and working serf ices

 Maintains daily production requirements and ensures quality of products by checking for correct dimensions and other specifications.

 Operates forklift and overhead crane.

 Unloads trucks

 Prepares production reports as required

 Recommends measures to improve productivity and product quality to the supervisor.

 Adheres to the company’s policies and procedures.

 Works with minimum of supervision.

 Requires to cross-train.

 Any other duties as required by management from time to time.

Requirements:

 Technical knowledge, training and experience in manufacturing environment.

 Experience operating break press and fabrication is an asset

 Ability to interpret blue prints and shop drawings.

 Understanding fractions & decimals

 Problem solving skills.

 Handy man

 Communication skills (English – written and verbal)

 Physically fit.

 WHMIS

 Knowledge of Health and Safety.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $22.00-$23.25 per hour
