Overview

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

· Troubleshoot weld systems and robotic equipment to resolve welding related issues.

· Use technical understanding of the welding processes and quality standards to ensure that weld quality meets customer expectations.

· Conducts weld inspection, document and analyze weld data, generate reports.

· Assist in the training of production associates in weld quality requirements when required.

· Monitor Try-out of tools and processes with the responsibility of approving or disapproving.

· Participate in the 5PB problem solving process and Kaizens.

· Conduct FMEA meetings (Analysis of Failure Modes and their Effects)

· Participate in activities related to the development of new products (APQP, PPAP etc)

· Perform the maintenance of the BOM and BOP structure of the manufacturing processes.

· Update product and/or material control and process cycles.

· Perform other duties as required from time to time by your Manager/Supervisor.

Knowledge and Skills:

· University or college in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering or similar; · 1-3 years of manufacturing related experience with hands on operational knowledge (preferably in automotive industry manufacturing environment);

· Subject matter expert in manufacturing operations for welded assemblies.

· Experience working in an organization that has a well-implemented “Safety Culture”.

· Significant knowledge of manufacturing concepts, analysis, techniques, principles and practices (FMEA, PPAP, PM Systems, tooling, material flow, pull systems etc.).

· Knowledge of continuous improvement tools.

· Knowledge of problem solving tools (5PB).

· Practical experience with industrial robots.

· High level of teamwork and communication skills.
