We are currently seeking a Weld Quality Auditor to join our team. The Weld Quality Auditor is responsible for spot weld tear down, mig weld cut and etch and the supporting documentation. The Weld Quality Auditor will report directly to the Production Manager.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Part tear downs on spot welded assemblies;
  • Measure and document nugget sizes of spot welds;
  • Cut and etch of mig welded assemblies;
  • Measure and document throat, leg and penetration of mig welds;
  • Push out or torque testing of projection welded nuts and studs;
  • Document push out or torque test results;
  • Provide continuous improvement to the tear down process;
  • Maintain a clean, organized working environment and manage consumables required for the task;
  • Work within the project team to provide feedback on part quality;
  • Learn the fundamentals in machine build practices and support the Build Team when Weld Quality activities are not required;

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must have 1-2 years’ experience in Automotive Production or a Skilled Trade.

Experience:

  • Experience in a Production Facility or building automated assembly equipment;
  • Forklift and Fall Arrest Licenses are preferred;
  • Experience using EXCEL and WORD documents;
  • Experience using Zeiss Microscope with OmniMet Measurement software;
  • Experience working in a high pressure environment with dynamic requirements.
