Overview

Williams and White is a machine shop specializing in custom machining and fabrication that has been operating since 1957.

We are looking for experienced Weld Shop Foreman to join our team. You will be working within a small team of welders and fabricators. We are an ISO 9001 shop and as such you must share our desire for a high level of quality.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee production of weld shop.
  • Enforce CWB welding practices.
  • Assign work and monitor performance of Welders
  • Mentor and train junior welders.
  • Fitting/Fabricating
  • Welding
  • Assembly (as required)

Experience desired:

  • 5+ Years of welding and fabrication of structural steel experience in an industrial setting.
  • Valid CWB tickets for GMAW and FCAW/MCAW processes, flat and horizontal positions (minimum).
  • Experience safely using overhead cranes, forklifts and other support equipment.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 machine/fab shop.
  • Experience with welding mild steels and stainless.
  • CWB Welding supervisor or CWB Weld inspector license considered a bonus but not necessary.
  • Aluminum welding, SMAW, or GTAW experience considered a bonus but not necessary.

Attributes required:

  • Able to read drawings/blueprints.
  • Able to understand and follow CWB welding procedures.
  • Able to safely lift 50lbs.
  • Able to communicate effectively with team members and understand instructions, verbal and written.
  • Able to work independently with minimal assistance
  • Able to assist apprentice welders as needed.

Salary: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
