Overview

Welders use a variety of tools and techniques to connect either aluminum or steel parts. As an welder, you follow the specifications of each blueprint and ensure they meet all safety regulations and quality assurance expectations. Your duties may include using a spool gun to feed a wire through a MIG machine or using MIG and/or TIG techniques. Grinding, drilling, cutting, and other preparations of the metal products are also required.

You may also be responsible for maintaining your welding equipment, changing welding parts as needed, and moving finished products to its storage location.
