Overview
NOV Hydra Rig is the world’s leading manufacturer of coiled tubing, nitrogen, and snubbing equipment.
NOV is hiring a welder who will be responsible for production welding in a manner that ensures the quality and quantity of work is completed accurately. These tasks are to be completed within the specifications of NOV HydraRig Canada.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all work is recorded to the proper work orders and use the time keeping systems accurately.
- Track and ensure that all anomalies are being documented for all work orders.
- Understanding and training required for the following on an annual basis: Document Data Control, Inspection and Testing, ID & Traceability, Handling and Storage, Calibration, Welding Procedures, NCR, CAR & PAR System
- Ensure that all areas where you work are kept in an orderly and safe fashion.
- Maintain all safety standards as per NOV Canada ULC. Health and Safety policies and Provincial regulations.
- Ensure that all safety and mechanical equipment being used is well maintained
- Report all material shortages to the Team Leader so they can expedite and locate the shortage.
- Maintain all company information as confidential.
- All other assigned or associated tasks and duties to help meet or exceed the customer expectations and company goals.
Qualification Requirements (Minimum Education and Experience):
- Welding Designation within the Province of Alberta as an Apprentice or Journeyman.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years aluminum welding experience.
HSE Requirements (Training and Physical Requirements):
- Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds
- Must be capable of repeated bending, stooping and squatting, and standing for prolonged period of time
- Training on overhead crane operation
- Must meet all physical demand of the job
- Required to wear PPE
