Welder – 3rd shift, Sunday – Wednesday, 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM – Pay Rate $20/ hour + $2 / hour shift premium.

Eligible for $1,000 Sign On Bonus (minus applicable taxes) after 90 days. Sign on bonus is subject to eligibility requirements and all applicable taxes are withheld.

What You’ll Do
As a Welder, you’ll be part of our manufacturing team located in Akron, Ohio. You’ll get to:

  • Align parts, using jack, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, hammer and fixtures where available.
  • Align and fit components together.
  • Bolt, clamp, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welder to weld, tack (welding).
  • Position and clamp together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
  • Perform related tasks, such as grinding and / or fabricating.
  • Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, or bolt straps, or bolt parts in positions for welding.
  • Lift, move and hold, or clamp work pieces to table, into jigs, or into position as directed, manually or by using hoist, pry bars, wrenches, hammer, and wedges.
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as may be deemed necessary by the Team Lead or Group Leader.

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a welding position in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A fundamental understanding and application of safe work practices.
  • A willingness to learn and grow.
  • The ability to weld and fit all items in their value stream.
