POSITION OVERVIEW:
To ensure that the assigned equipment operates in a safe, efficient, and well-organized manner in accordance with Deco’s plant rules, while ensuring that the quality standards and production releases of our customers are met. It is expected that there is a never-ending commitment to continuous improvement and a positive attitude towards all employees at Deco.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
A working knowledge (written & verbal) of English and Mathematics,

Must achieve passing grade on Pre-Welding Deco Internal Assessment

Must pass yearly required quality standard eye examination

Weld Inspection Training considered an asset but not required

Post-Secondary Education in Welding/Weld Technology considered an asset but not required

Physically capable of performing essential duties of the job,

Knowledge of Mig Welding process, capable of identifying areas required for rework,

Must be quality oriented, no discipline on file whatsoever for quality related infractions

Must be capable of setting up Mig welding equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES / EFFORTS / WORKING CONDITIONS:
Inspect complete assemblies and physically capable of handling assemblies over 30lbs,

Capable of performing minor repairs/adjustments to Mig welder,

Perform other related duties as directed by Supervisor,

Fill out tags accurately and complete,

Keep work area neat and orderly,

Work within the guidelines of the Deco Employee Handbook,

Commitment to continuous improvement and work place safety,

TS16949 awareness and adherence,

Other duties as may be required.

SAFETY PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Accepts personal responsibility to plan and conduct their work safety in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as company policies and guidelines.

Responsible for good housekeeping in your area.
