Hourly Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour (additional afternoon shift premium of $2.50/hr)

Role Overview

Eclipse Automation is seeking a Welder for a fulltime afternoon shift position for our HQ in Cambridge, ON. The afternoon shift operates on a four, 10-hour shift work week, with an additional shift premium of $2.50 per hour.

Reporting to the Fabrication Shop Supervisor, the Welder will assist in development and implementation of fabrication manufacturing policies and procedures, liaise directly with other department personnel to ensure project goals are met on budget, while delivering the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.

The Welder job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Technical

  • Experience fitting structural steel, plate work.
  • Welding in the 6G position. Pipe material Carbon .625” wall thickness, GTAW root pass in 6G position, SMAW fill and cap in 6G position. an asset
  • Must ensure all parts are welded correctly within given tolerances.
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills & Weld symbol knowledge.
  • Experience working with and using overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Experience with jig welding an asset.

Project Execution

  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Provides support and guidance to other members of the team with respect to technical ability.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate in group meetings safely.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and or travel as required in varying timelines.
  • Maintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate Vision.
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc. Conduct Code

Qualifications:

  • Has successfully completed a Welder’s Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Must have up do date GTAW, GMAW, MCAW certificates or equivalent experience.
  • Welding Supervisor Ticket will be considered an asset.
  • Must have a minimum of 5-10 years of welding experience in a custom fabrication environment.
