Full Job Description

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Some college or technical trade school to support qualifications
  • Welder, Fitter, Manufacturing
  • Must have Mig welding experience with materials including carbon, stainless steel and aluminum.
  • IMP is a drug-free workplace.Employees must be able to pass a pre-employment, fit-for-duty physical including a drug screen.
  • Blueprint reading and the ability to comprehend engineering drawings, tolerances and general dimensional information.
  • Capable of fixture design and setup.
  • Perform quality inspections and follow ISO guidelines for product traceability.
  • Mechanical skills/aptitude.
  • Computer skills.
  • Read tape measure to the 1/16th of 1 inch.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw/interpret bar graphs.
  • Must be able to follow company safety and quality control policies and procedures.
  • Must be receptive to change and cross functional training.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including overtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Operation of various types of welding and fabricating equipment.
  • Ability to fit complex parts for inspection prior to final weld.
  • Gauge and inspect parts as required.
  • Palletize finished parts and perform quality documentation sign-offs as required.
  • Support production operations by ensuring the smooth flow of material from operation to operation.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete paperwork for quality documentation procedures.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Adhere to 5S practices maintaining a safe, clean and organized work environment.
  • Active involvement and support of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Implement, maintain and continually improve the effectiveness of the company’s quality management system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
