JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking First and Second Shift

  • Perform efficient MIG welding of various metal thicknesses on carbon steel in a production mfg facility
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, sketches, work orders, assembly, and welding operations
  • Set up and adjust MIG welding and cutting equipment
  • Extensive knowledge of MIG welding and fabricating equipment is a must
  • Report all non-conforming material to the area Supervisor and/or Shop Foreman immediately
  • Perform work with the help of various hand and power tools (drills, grinders, sanders, ect.)
  • Maintain weld equipment and supplies in an excellent and safe operating condition
  • Complete paperwork/job sheets required for area
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • Must have the ability to weld in all positions with good penetration and quality
  • Must be safety minded and pay close attention to detail
  • Must maintain excellent attendance, and expect to work overtime if the need requires
  • Possess a solid understanding of welding equipment and welding accessories
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings
  • Ability and willingness to follow instructions as well as the ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, stand and ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Must provide minimum 3 references from recent past employers
  • Certified forklift operator is a PLUS

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience preferred, but not required
