Welder and Handyman
The Ramada Ottawa is looking for a knowledgeable, hard-working and honest welder and renovation handyman. The candidate will be a self-starter, a team player with strong organizational skills.
The handyman will be responsible for general maintenance and renovation projects in the hotel that includes 87 guest rooms, restaurant, meeting spaces and common areas. The handyman will be responsible for ongoing maintenance duties. This is a full time position with full benefits.
Required Skills
– Minimum of three (3) years of experience in renovation and construction
– Minimum of three (3) years of experience in welding stairs, railings and fences
– Experience in analyzing, assessing and planning projects
– Ability to read blueprints and following engineering drawings
– Experience with selecting the proper welding material and tools
– Strong knowledge selecting and operating different welding equipment
– Inspect and test steel surfaces and identify week points in of repair
– Experience with general basic plumbing and electrical repairs
– Painting experience is an asset
– Strong problem solving skills
– Strong organizational skills
– Reliable and honest
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
