Big Country Steel Systems, LLC is currently seeking a entry level position on a welder and a helper. Position entails of fabrication on commercial steel buildings and components. I have a position for a entry level welder and a position for a helper. Onsite training will be performed, no experience needed.
The individual should have good leadership and personal skills for interacting with workers and vendors. Communicate daily work with assigned personnel to ensure that daily operations are met and resolve all issues in a professional and timely manner to ensure customer and company satisfaction. The individual will work as a team to ensure completed projects meet specifications, to make sure work is in accordance with specifications, and the project maintains timely completion.

The position will require overseeing the resources for assigned projects, including but not limited to, upkeep of the shop equipment, raw materials, tools, and facility. Control damage and losses while maintaining a clean and organized shop and equipment are also a part of the position.

Number of Positions: 1 – Salary commensurate to experience

  • No Experience/ Education:
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Hydraulic, Mechanical, Welding, and Heavy Equipment experience a plus
  • Time management & problem-solving are essential
  • Good working knowledge of steel fabrication
  • Working knowledge or experience: Field / Shop Millwright, Welder / Fabricator, Mechanic, AutoCAD, Press Brake, CNC Plasma, Plate Roll, Shear, Ironworker roles is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task with the personnel in the fabrication shop to process orders by assisting with cutting, fitting, welding, forming, rolling, surface prep, and coating.
  • Working knowledge of installation processes and resources
  • Working knowledge of rigging and lifting of heavy equipment safely
  • Assist in the maintenance of the shop equipment
  • Ability to source materials, components, and other resources as needed
  • Coordinate Trucking, and other logistics such as permitting, cranes, and other lifting and access equipment needs
  • Safety Training required, OSHA and MSHA Certification preferred
