NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING

SHIFTS: DAYS PAY RATE: Based on Experience

This posting is for a position in the Mechanical Maintenance Department. Specifically, we are seeking an individual with pipe fitting and welding experience that is used to working in an industrial environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Must be safety minded – remembering that as a mechanic here your safety and the safety of others depend on your actions. Must become actively involved in studying mechanical maintenance. As a mechanic you will have to interface with Machine Operators in many cases to correct problems on the Machine. Must be able to work well with people and understand that we are all here under a common goal working under a “Team” concept.

As a mechanic you will be expected to work with the operators in order to minimize potential problems and/or downtime. Because the nature of our maintenance program is growing and changing at such a rapid pace, it will be necessary for this person to constantly update/learn new skills or methods.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be able to accept written and verbal instructions.

Must be able to read and work from blueprints and other types of mechanical drawings.

Must have significant pipe fitting and welding experience.

Experience with stick welding in various positions and experience with TIG welding on stainless steel.

Should have an ability to read a schematic and use a computer or other tool to troubleshoot a loader, clamp truck, or forklift.

Prior Experience and Education:

Prior welding experience is required.

High school diploma is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
