Overview
Pump Projects Inc. is a fabrication and pumping solutions company specializing in pump packaging, pressure vessels, metering skids, engineered chemicals as well as pump sales and servicing.
We are looking for a first or second year Apprentice Welder that is looking to work towards their B-Pressure ticket, we are willing to offer a C ticket (for 2nd year apprentice) to the right individual. This position is at our Airdrie fabrication facility, reporting to the Shop Foreman.
You shall be able to perform the following duties, but not limited to:
· Follow written and oral instructions
· Read and understand fabrication drawings and welding process specifications, would be an asset.
· GMAW, FCAW, SMAW experience would be an asset
· Operate manual equipment such as torches, gouging equipment, power tools and hand tools would be an asset
· Follow company welding procedures
· Work with other trades in a team environment
· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Participate in Quality Control
· Other duties as required
The successful candidate is required to have the following qualifications, but not limited to:
· Must have own hand tools
· Must be able to lift 50lbs and physically fit
· forklift and overhead crane with proper rigging techniques, would be an asset
· Own transportation is required
Working conditions, not limited to:
· Indoor/Outdoor all year round
· Working simultaneously around other trades
