Overview

Job Duties:

· Follow direction appropriately from welders, pipefitters, company management and the customer, inspectors

· Perform duties as required in a professional, capable manner.

· Work according to instructions and within the specifications of the job

· Buff and grind welds as required and directed. Keep electrode stabilizing oven full of the proper size E7018 electrode being used. With direction, be able to use bevellers and cut and dress pipe for welding.

· Learn to anticipate the welder’s or truck foreman’s needs.

Terms of Employment:

· Full-Time

· Wage: varies depending on apprenticeship year

· Hours of Work: Monday-Friday; 7:00am-3:30pm (8 hours per day)

· Work is located in the Wainwright, Alberta area

Skills requirements:

· Current Safety Tickets required:

o H2S Alive (preferred)

o CSTS (mandatory)

o Emergency First Aid (preferred)

o Confined Space (preferred)

o Elevated/aerial work platform (preferred)

· Ability to lift up to 23kg

· Proficient in writing, speaking, and reading English

· Ability to work with small hand tools

· Ability to work outside exposed to the elements

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $21.00-$36.00 per hour
