Sutton Stromart is a complete heat exchanger manufacturing, maintenance and servicing company. We specialize in servicing the heavy equipment, generator, locomotive, industrial and marine industries. For over 50 years we have serviced, built and designed heat exchangers, radiators and cooling systems for various applications.
Job:
Welder Assemblers must have the capacity fabricate and weld metal assemblies and will learn to diagnose and perform repairs on a variety of radiators and heat exchangers.
Essential Job Duties:
- Soldering, brazing and welding on brass, steel and some aluminum in order to build or repair units
- Clean and process various radiators, intercoolers, condensers, and heat exchangers
- Test and evaluate units to ascertain what is required to repair and return to good working service
- Repair and reassemble using metal forming and bonding methods
- Perform post-repair test and quality control procedures
- Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done.
- Familiarity with hand tools, air tools, welding, and basic shop safety
- Understanding of proper use and importance of Personal Protective Equipment
- Promote a teamwork atmosphere working closely with all departments throughout the company
- Safe and efficient work ethic.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs,
- Assume other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Post Secondary welding education
- Canadian Armed Forces, Materials Technician Training Prefered
