Overview
We’re looking for a full-time Service Technician / Welder / Fabricator in our granular fertilizer division. You’ll work on a variety of fabrication and fertilizer facility build projects, often on the road and sometimes in our shop. You’ll travel with our crew for up to 15 days at a time and work outdoors as part of our build team. * In 2021, projects are in Manitoba with 5 days on the road and most weekends off.
Requirements
- CWB SMAW ticket or SMAW welding experience
- Millwright experience
- Reliable, hardworking and self-motivated individual
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights (150+ feet)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving abstract
- Smartphone to use company apps
- Commitment to safety
Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Welding at a variety of heights outdoors and indoors
- Many aspects of the installation and repair of fertilizer handling equipment
- Assembly, fitting and installation of parts and finished products
- Using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to perform tasks
- Preparing work reports and safety logs
- Driving truck/trailer combinations and completing required logs
