Overview
OVERVIEW:
To perform the job of Welding / Assembly Technician successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function per the established process to ensure all parts meet or
exceed quality expectations. The functions listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Operate welding equipment, hand tools, and utilize other specific tools called out in our fabrication process.
- Assisting our production team by reading bill of materials, prints, and assemble machines to keep the production schedule on time.
- Work directly with Production Manager to identify and resolve any issues prior to and during the fabrication.
- Examine parts for damage / quality and perform all fabrication per written work instructions and per bill of material.
- Sign bill of material as the part is completed.
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Weld other things around the building as needed, example: maintenance purposes or special projects during R&D.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Gain and utilize thorough knowledge of company history, culture, identity, and goals.
- Help in other departments as needed.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certification in welding from a technical school preferred
- Basic mathematical skills and comprehension
Experience
- Previous experience with MIG welding required.
- Previous experience fabricating from prints and bill of materials preferred.
