Job Summary:
You are a B Pressure Welder with experience to support us on industrial pipeline projects. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on the DOW Ethylene Pipeline project. For you, safety and quality are a priority and you are proud of your work at the end of each day.

Responsibilities:
Perform all tasks with Safety as top priority.

Participate in Project Safety Program, Attend Toolbox and Safety Meetings, plan safe work with team members daily on Field Level Hazard Assessment forms, intervene and communicate any unsafe acts or conditions.

Read and interpret drawings and follow welding procedures

Working with Pipefitters and Welders on the installation and completion of pressure piping systems and their supports.

Welders will be informed of required welding tickets prior to hiring.

Visually inspect welds to be acceptable to code requirements by CWB certified Welding Inspectors.

It is expected that all welds will be completed as acceptable to all the inspection and examination requirements.

Teamwork is an essential part of our success and it is expected that piping crew members all work together. Tasks may include assisting pipefitters with set-up, rigging, measuring, clean-up etc, when welding is not available

Scope:
Demo of 8” steam line and 3” condensate lines to make space for new 10” ethylene line

Installation of 1300m of 12” LTCS sched 40 on existing steel rack, 260m if 10” LTCS sched 40 piping on existing pipe rack, control station in the Wells plant, and 50m of 2” stainless piping in the rack

Requirements:
Must be an Interprovincial Red Seal or have a Alberta Journeyman Welding ticket from a recognized provincial training authority

Must possess a valid “B” pressure Alberta ticket

Minimum 3+ years of experience on industrial construction is required

Successful candidates will require OSSA Regional with CSTS, BSO or CSO, along with EWP

Fall Projection and Drive safe certification is an asset

Good attention to detail with the ability to problem solve

Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies

Work Conditions:
Experienced applicants that reside in Fort Saskatchewan, AB or surrounding areas will be given preference due to the location of this project

Project to commence in October with estimated completion in February 2023;

4 shifts/week; 10 hours per day

Drive in, drive out position with parking available on-site. No camp accommodations
