Overview

Tech needed for commercial contractor specializing in building and facility maintenance services. We’re looking for multi task individual’s who work well with others and have welding and general building and construction experience. Must be 21 or older, have a valid drivers license, be able to perform physical labor and have reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee field workers at jobsite, delegate and perform duties
  • Setup and secure a safe working environment
  • Brief crew members about jobsite safety and how daily tasks need to be carried out
  • Ensure that all materials, supplies, tools and equipment are onsite to carry out job duties
  • Ensure maintenance and proper storage of construction equipment and tools
  • Monitor work and procedures to ensure that safety and quality is maintained and that schedules are being followed
  • Create reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the supervisor
  • Handle onsite incidents and emergencies in a proactive manner
  • Must have a general knowledge of construction and be able to operate power tools and small equipment
  • Commercial building facility maintenance and repairs
  • Metal buildings, overhead doors, loading docks, and other repair work as necessary
  • Overhead Door & Dock Door installation and repair
  • Metal building repairs, canopies, bollards, etc.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior work experience and references required
  • Class D driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Pre-employment drug testing and background check
  • Pay dependent on experience
  • Must be able to operate power tools, small equipment, lifts, saws, etc.
  • Overnight travel required; Per Diem
