Position Title: Welder – Qualified CWB Supervisor
Overview
This position reports to the Fabrication Supervisor and is responsible for reading and interpreting Weld Specifications on Engineered Drawings and blueprints as well as Work Orders. The position is suited for Welders that utilize the MCAW Process, with primary experience being Carbon Steel.
Work Performed:
1. Understand and adherence to Flexitallic’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environment systems, policies, programs and requirements.
2. Understand the work assigned and any risks and safeguard measures, as well as your workplace Quality, Health, Safety and Environment requirements.
3. Reading work orders and Engineered Drawings/Blueprints
4. Daily Operator Inspections
5. Material identification and use of measuring devices.
Typical Duties, Actions and Responsibilities: –
· Participate in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment training, awareness activities, follow work practices and procedures and maintain valid certifications as required.
· Immediately report unsafe work practices and conditions to your supervisor, as have the right to refuse unsafe work.
· Report accidents, near misses, injuries, or illnesses immediately to your supervisor.
· Responsibility to use personal protective equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and work in compliance with OH&S act, regulations and code.
· Operate Jib Crane, loading pieces onto welding tables, removal
· Grinding/Buffing (Post cleaning of pieces)
· Be able to consistently produce welds free of quality indications, imperfections and weld faults.
Qualifications/Requirements:
– 2-3 years welding experience
– Valid transferable CWB Ticket in FCAW/MCAW for carbon steel is MANDATORY.

Salary: $34.00-$38.00 per hour
