Vulcraft Canada, Inc, A Division of Nucor Corporation is currently looking for an Entry Level Welder to join our Leduc, Alberta team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Team members are responsible for safely working in a team environment. They will learn to weld pre-assembled structural steel products to meet the quality standards and specifications demanded by our Quality Assurance Program and of our industry regulators.
RESPONSIBILIITIES
Work in a safe manner and follow all company safety rules and safe operating processes.
Help assembled structural steel to requirements of our shop order.
Learn various welding and fitting skills to aid in the assembly of structural steel.
Learn to Interpret weld symbols and follow weld procedures.
Learn how to set welding machine to assure quality welds meeting the requirement of our internal standards.
Learn how to use a cutting torch or plasma torch when it is required.
Maintaining work area and equipment in a clean an orderly condition.
Perform tasks as required by Supervisor.
Be willing to help the team succeed wherever possible.
Requirements
Capable of working safely in high paced environment.
Prior experience in the steel industry is considered an asset.
High School Diploma.
