Overview
Overview: Completes routine welding assignments within clearly defined processes.
Skills and Abilities:Ability to:
- Pass 1G and 2G test required
- Use metal core mig, tig, fluxcore, or stick welding process
- Perform quality visual and U.T. welds
- Weld brackets and braces and use grinders
- Learn to read and understand blueprints
- Learn to operate basic cutting equipment
- Learn about different types and sizes of pipe, structural, and vessel materials
- Comply with all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of metal core mig, tig, fluxcore, or stick welding process
Minimum Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Welding training or equivalent on-the-job-training preferred
- Must provide own welding hood, chipping hammer, and wire cutting pliers
Minimum Experience:
- Typically 1-12 months related experience and/or training
Leadership:
- No leadership responsibilities

- Regularly required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds and to push and pull up to 90 pounds
- Occasionally required to stoop, twist, kneel, and squat
