Welder-Fabricator
Erickson Trucks-N-Parts is excited to add a Welder-Fabricator to our expanding team of professionals at our Jackson location. A great candidate for this position will have experience with medium to heavy duty specialty trucks and trailers, welding, designing, cutting and shaping metal in new materials and repairing existing materials. We have locations in Jackson, MN Sturtevant, WI and Palestine, TX.
Responsibilities & Job Duties include:
Determine the technical or physical status of equipment to be repaired or re-built
Perform efficient welding of various types of metal objects, using a gas torch & welder
Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions
Work closely with parts department to order or obtain appropriate parts from stock in order to make necessary repairs
Repair or re-build products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping and reassembling, in order to, perform modifications and repair work in a timely manner according to specifications
Test and evaluate finished product and perform quality checks after work is complete, for customer satisfaction
Knowledge and use of all hand tools and grinders
Operate fabricating machines and/or equipment
Knowledge of industry safety practices.
Perform all other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications include:
Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, climb and kneel on a regular basis.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
High School diploma or equivalent
Pay will be determined on experience and proven ability.
