Job Description

Title: Welder / Fabricator

Status: Full-Time, Regular, Non-exempt

Reporting: Reports to Production Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder who can work in a fast-paced environment to support our engineering and production teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, fabrication, and machining and be comfortable using a variety of manual and automated tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineering to fabricate and assemble prototypes and test fixtures.
  • Build production fixtures and equipment to support our manufacturing operations.
  • Weld production parts and assemblies to meet production standards and requirements.
  • Operate welding and fabrication equipment, including MIG and TIG welding, plasma cutting, and bending machines.
  • Use manual mill, lathe, saw, and various hand tools to fabricate parts and assemblies.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop custom fixtures as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace, following all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on welding, fabrication, and machining equipment.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in welding, fabrication, and machining.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding, plasma cutting, and bending.
  • Knowledge and experience using manual mills, lathes, saws, and various hand tools.
  • Strong understanding of welding and fabrication techniques, including welding symbols and terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, vocational training in welding, fabrication, and machining preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 – $30.00 per hour
