Job Description

American Alloy Steel, Inc is currently searching for a enthusiastic team player to fill the open position of an Experienced Fabrication Inspector in our Houston, TX Corporate office!

Both day and night shifts currently available.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • In this role you will operate an overhead crane and forklift in order to proper load and unload steel plates, as well as move inventory around the operations area for efficient production.
  • Understand the safety guidelines in proper crane and forklift operation
  • Welding background preferred with FCAW experience
  • Understanding ASME Code Requirements
  • Shipping and receiving responsibilities
  • Welding bracing into final product
  • General shop floor inspection

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work Monday thru Friday
  • Be available for extensive overtime or weekend duty
  • Knowledge of different grades of steel material and properly identifying them
  • Proficient in reading basic tapes and measuring devices
  • Ability to follow verbal or simple written instructions and procedures
  • Serves as a team member
  • Prior knowledge of overhead crane operations
  • Experience in steel plate handling practices
  • At least 5 years of welding experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 – $35.00 per hour
