Position Summary:
- Build custom parts and devices per drawing and/or written/verbal descriptions.
- Perform steel welding/cutting repairs on production equipment.
- Assist maintenance with mechanical repairs as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Equipment / Tools Used:
- Power and hand tools, forklifts, cranes, man-lifts, micrometers, tape measures, welding equipment, plasma cutter, cutting torch, saws, grinders, forms, records, etc.
Minimum Required Education / Skills:
- Structural welding certification; highly preferred
- Skilled use of cutting torch, plasma cutter, grinders, power saws, and other tools used in steel fabrication.
- Ability to precisely follow instructions.
- Ability to read and create mechanical drawings.
Minimum Required Experience:
- 2 years of steel fabrication.
- MIG and Stick welding experience
Desired Skills:
- Good mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
