Job Title: Metal Worker / Welder / Fabricator

Reports to: Production Manager

Location: Sanford, FL

Position Overview

Immediate need for an experienced Metal Worker as part of a Custom Woodworking Shop, producing handcrafted residential and commercial designs. Pay based on experience and expertise

Job Duties

  • Ability to interpret shop drawings and produce match for control finishes
  • Able to finish custom pieces in an efficient manner
  • Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
  • Will practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe and non-cluttered work area
  • Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment
  • Comply with all Gleman & Sons policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements

Qualifications

  • Solid work ethic
  • Attention to detail resulting in quality craftsmanship
  • 5 years experience
  • Knowledge of all wood finishes and experience sanding
  • Ability to problem-solve to achieve design intent
  • Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Flexibility to work long days, irregular hours and weekends if necessary
  • Criminal Record Check

Physical Demands

  • Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs, unassisted (from 35-65% of the time)
  • Occasional lifting from 41 lbs +, assisted (up to 50% of the time)
  • Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
