Overview

Job Overview:
The Fabricator | Welder assembles finished products using skills, tools, machines, or other equipment and fabricates various types of products for use inside or outside of a commercial kitchen. Tig Welding experience is a major plus.

Primary Responsibilities:
Adheres to all safety standards.

Studies and interprets assembly instructions.

Fabricates and assembles products and items for commercial kitchens.

Participates in installation meetings and site surveys.

Reads parts list, assembles tools and materials, and positions parts and subassemblies.

Assembles components, interpret measurements, and verify specifications.

Ensures parts are properly fitted and secured by weld or fasteners.

Alters dimensions to fit specifications and resolves assembly and production issues.

Establishes and performs tool/machinery preventive maintenance schedules.

Troubleshoots malfunctions and perform on-site repairs as needed.

Ensures working environment is clean and safe.

Audits stock to ensure material inventory is replenished.

Builds prototypes and test products as need.

Maintains a production schedule and tests products for functionality.

Troubleshoots and stress testing products to minimize problems or recalls.

Other duties as needed.

Qualifications:
A High School diploma or the equivalent in experience.

AWS certification and advanced welding experience.

Tig welding experience is a plus.

Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses.

1 year of work experience as a metal fabricator.

Driving record under auto liability insurance guidelines.

Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements:
Safety 1st mentality!

Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.

Hands on electrical and mechanical experience.

High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently as a team.

Ability to lift over 50lbs and manipulate large metal objects.

Ability to stand for long periods.

Working/Environmental Conditions:
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and lift equipment.

Repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing up and down ladders.

Extensive daily travel to work site location or in shop fabricating.

Exposure to electrical, steam, and high heat units that require extreme caution and safety equipment.

Occasional to frequent exertion in high and low temperature environments (over heated kitchens, rooftops, outdoors, etc.).
