Orlick is an automotive parts supplier producing aluminum components for many varieties of vehicles, with Honda being our largest customer.

Position Summary

The Welder is responsible to assist in the repair of hardened tool steel and machine components. Repairs must meet documented specifications, schedules and recognized industry welding standards. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints/welding diagrams.
  • Weld/repair machine and tool components using MIG and TIG equipment.
  • Effectively use fabrication tools such as torches, grinders and hand tools.
  • Operate in-house furnace to ensure best welding practices are maintained.
  • Develop and build fixtures as needed to increase efficiencies.
  • Select, design, and modify welding methods as required within established guidelines.
  • Visually inspect and verify that welds meet specifications as noted in drawings..
  • Accurately report data supporting job activities.
  • Review schedule, calculate weld times and prioritize jobs to maximize efficiency.
  • Inspection of welding equipment daily and report inefficiencies.
