Overview

Surespan is a Canada-wide general contractor working on heavy civil construction projects with a focus on bridge construction and remote access. As a Welder, you will be heavily involved in the fabrication and bridge building process, while expected to work safely and efficiently. You will be the very foundation that the production process relies on, developing new skills and good habits along the way.

Position Requirements:
6 months to 2 years experience in the welding industry is preferred.

Welding CWB for FCAW All Positions. (Not required at time of hire)

Own basic hand tools. (MIG pliers, tape measure, etc.)

Ability to operate basic power tools. (Angle Grinders, etc.)

Setup and operate Oxy/Acetylene for cutting.

Experience with FCAW Self Shielded & Sub Arc Welding is a bonus.

Basic Crane rigging for lifting and hoisting bridges and bridge components.

Physically fit for light to medium liftings.

Good Verbal and Written English communication skills.

Must be able to work alone with minimal supervision as well as in a group setting.

Location of Employment:
Our projects are located at various sites across Canada and most times will fly-in-fly-out to site locations. LOA is provided. Typical working rotation is 21 days on, 7 days off. Applicants must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and be legally permitted to work in Canada.
