Position Overview:
Join the Finning Canada family, part of the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer. We are currently looking for a dedicated Welder who will be responsible for a variety of welding related duties on Customer site and shop. Previous experience with Caterpillar Ultra Class Haul Truck frame repair is essential.

This position will work a 14×14 continuous shift rotation. If you are a safety conscious team player, self-motivated, detail-oriented and possess your Journeyperson Welding certification with a valid driver’s license, then you are exactly who we are looking for!

Job Description:
Weld and repair Caterpillar equipment

Previous experience with Caterpillar Ultra Class Haul Truck frame repair is essential

Perform a wide variety of equipment repair diagnostics

Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)

Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team

Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required

Qualifications:
Interprovincial Welder Certification

Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract

Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail

Completion of Caterpillar product courses would be considered an asset

Note:
This position is located at D05 Kearl Facility on a 14×14 continuous day/night shift rotation

Hourly rate: $56.85 – $58.93 / hour

Regional Wage Allowance: 12%

Boot Allowance: $350 / year

Successful candidate will be required to stay in camp, while on shift

Camp accommodation will be provided

Customer flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary

Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
