WELDER / FINISHER
Job Description

We have an immediate opening for 1 full time Welder / Finisher.

This position is in our repair welding and grinding division; the candidate will correctly apply buildup of weld deposits, followed by subsequent grinding to gauged specification.

WELDING TICKET IS REQUIRED OR IN PROGRESS, for consideration for this role

Required Skills:

  • SMAW, GMAW & FCAW to CWB standards.
  • Experience in welding manganese & high carbon castings, an asset.
  • Extensive grinding experience, an asset.
  • Welding ticket (an assets, in progress / trade school minimum)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

A basic welding test will make up a portion of the interview process.

Specific job training on-site will be provided.

Criminal background check & medical evaluation may be required.

Experience:

  • welding: 2 years (preferred)
  • grinding / finishing: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Welding ticket (or in progress) (required)
