The Company

We are an industry leader in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of robust, high-performance bulk material handling solutions. In addition to our custom-designed product, we also design and manufacture a full line of hoisting equipment for truck dump body applications under the NORDIC trade name.
The Opportunity
The position of Welder/Fitter includes fitting and production welding. Responsibilities include the fabrication of custom parts supplied by drawings and blueprints to produce parts that meet customer specifications in a fast-paced production environment.
The Day to Day
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding specifications
- Operate semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
- Finish assemblies manually
- Operate hand tools such as grinders to clean product parts
- Operate cranes to move products
- Operate forklifts
- Other duties as assigned
The Person
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent
- 2-5 years’ experience fitting and welding in a production environment
- CWB Ticket/s
- Valid welding certification (GMAW) flat asset is certified in all positions
- Ability to read blueprints, and or engineered drawings
- Ability to work independently in a busy and noisy plant environment
- Ability to work under pressure & meet strict deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
