JOB TITLE: Fitter/Fabricator

SUPERVISOR: Rubin General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Fitter/Fabricator’s assist with the completion of all custom fabrication jobs from beginning to end while maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality. This role requires effective communication, time management, team collaboration, and good housekeeping. Safety – Service – Quality – Production.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILTIES:

– Reads Shop Drawings to determine scope & material.

– Looks at flat drawings, picture, or blueprints and visualize how they look as solid objects with height/width/depth.

– Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.

– Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.

– Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.

– Assembles parts by bolting.

– Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand-tools.

– Works in team environment or independently to get jobs completed.

– Provide excellent customer service.

– Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, & carry cranes.

– Unloads customer vehicles.

– Works within precise limits and standards of accuracy.

– Maintains a high standard of housekeeping.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 5 years Fitter/Fabrication experience.

MUST adhere to Company policies and rules and to promote safety standards.

– Experience with structural and miscellaneous fabrication.

– Familiarity with all fabrication equipment & tools.

– Excellent hand-eye coordination.

– Strong focus on customer service.

– Ability to work independently and as a team player.

– Maintain a positive, respectful attitude with a strong sense of honesty and reliability.

– Ability to stoop/bend/kneel/crouch/balance/climb and stand or be seated for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
