ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: We are looking for an experienced Welder Fitter Fabricator Technician to join our fabrication team. Our Fabrication Division specializes in repairing fuel and propane trucks and trailers and is based out of London Ontario. This is a full-time day shift. (M-T, 7:00-4:30, F, 7:00-3:15)
Reporting to the Shop Manager, this position is responsible for:
- Welding, fitting & testing – TIG aluminum & stainless steel piping all position 2”-4”
- Welding & fitting – MIG aluminum & steel, bumpers, side boxes, fenders, hose tubes, meter boxes, cab computer stands, ladders, safety rails and brackets
- Plasma & torch cutting, drilling, saw cutting
- Complete inspections & test reports
- Fuel/Propane truck & trailer general repair and assembly
- Material handling
ABOUT YOU:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Mechanically inclined
- Good attitude and willing to learn and take direction
- Must be physically fit and be able to lift heavy objects
- A dedication to safety culture
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in welding or mechanics is an asset
- Ability to work under, on top & inside of tanker trucks
- Ability to pass in house ASME type weld testing
- Mechanics roller toolbox & tools required
