Sheridan Seating Inc. is a Canadian manufacturer of telescopic bleachers, auditoriums and theatre seating. Every product is manufactured to exact specifications, executing strict quality control procedures from start to finish.
We are currently under a new ownership, we have ambitious plans and we are seeking for a talented Welder Fitter/ MIG who wants to be part of them!

Key Responsibilities
- Assemble pieces of metal, jigs, fitters and frames according to production standards.
- Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
- Produce parts and assemble products in accordance with production standards
- Operate and setup various pieces of job-related equipment, machines and tools
- Excellent experience in welding aluminum, steel and stainless steel.
- Exercise care in welding to insure proper technique.
- Produce required number of finished product as per daily production board requirements.
- Ensure safety procedures are adhered for each piece of equipment being worked on as well as all appropriate personal protective equipment and guards are in place
- Maintain production area clean and clear of hazards
- Be punctual and reliable
- Follow companies’ values and policies
Qualifications and Skills
- Post-secondary related education or has 3+ years of proven experience in MIG welding jigs, fitters and frames
- CWB welding certificate is an asset
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Able to read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Competent in reading gauges, tape measure and other measurement tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
- Decision making skills and multi-tasking skills
- Have a considerable knowledge and experience in metal shaping equipment and various hand tools
- Well-rounded work ethic and positive attitude
- Must be able to read, write, communicate and comprehend English
- Physically demanding; requires lifting capability of up to 50 lb
- Expertise or exposure in handling Welding Robot, CNC Plasma, CNC Break Press and CNC Shear will be a plus
Working Environment
- Manufacturing environment on production floor with elements such as noise and dust.
- Requires the ability to exert physical effort
- Able to work independently and with a team
Hours
The normal hours of work at 40 hours per week; however, some non-standard hours may apply

Benefits
This position includes a comprehensive benefit plan, including but not limited to extended health and dental coverage, life and travel insurance, paid vacation, long term disability plans. Only one shift per day 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
