Overview
Our client has been crafting the finest fencing and gate products for over 20 years, and is looking to enhance their production team!
Are you a dedicated individual who thrives in fast-paced role? With a high level of concentration, you will be responsible for welding a variety of materials to create the final product while ensuring all work completed meets internal quality requirements. The role will perform all job duties in a healthy and safe manner.
Reporting to the Director of Production, you will work Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm, and will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Gate/Panel Building
· Review production order to ensure materials and supplies are available
· Cut metal on custom orders, gather and fabricate the material, assemble the parts, and perform quality control to ensure the pieces fit well together and materials are free from defects
· Place prefabricated pieces in jigs for welding and set the pickets in the rails and on the jigs
· Weld the parts and components together to produce the final product
· Complete and submit the production order paperwork to confirm order completion
· Prepare the completed orders for delivery for paint shop
· Place labels and tags on completed products to ensure order accuracy
· Strap skids, move product to designated locations
· Other general labour duties as assigned
Robotic Programming
· Change profile settings to create different style fences
· Program each step into the robotic weld as per production order
· Test the weld to ensure the program is set correctly, troubleshoot and modify as needed
· Manually touch up on panel weld, as required
· Perform general and preventative maintenance on robotic weld and replace small parts
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
· Experience operating welding equipment, as well as power/hand tools
· High level of concentration and focus
· Ability to take direction and follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
· Basic reading and mathematical skills
· Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and orders
· Strong communication skills
· Problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
· Abide by safety regulations
· Ability to lift objects up to 50lbs
