Overview

Reporting to the Fabrication Shop Foreman, you will

  • Operate and set up various welding equipment
  • Operating equipment according to established procedures
  • Able to troubleshoot minor problems with fixtures or tooling
  • Check own parts against blue print drawings in various stages of production
  • Identify irregularities in parts and non conformance to quality standards
  • Read and interpret drawings or welding process specifications
  • Perform welding processes using established Canadian Welding Bureau/TSSA or customer procedures

Requirements:

  • Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent is an asset
  • Canadian Welding Bureau Certified to GTAW (Aluminum & Stainless)
  • Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Prior work experience using a brake press
  • Must have good time management, problem-solving skills, initiative and a commitment to tasks
  • Basic mathematical skills and the ability to communicate clearly
  • Interpret blue print drawings and accurately read various measuring tools

  • Prior experience working to quality standards and inspection
  • Comprehension of weld symbols

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
