Our Vars branch is looking for a welder / heavy equipment technician.
Your responsibilities:
You will be responsible for performing the following duties:
Plan and execute installations of various attachments on heavy equipment which requires welding, hydraulics, and mechanical skill set.
Perform various PDIs on equipment
Evaluating, diagnosing & repairing clients’ equipment or machinery.
Repairing, within required time periods, all models of heavy machinery according to established standards & procedures.
Performing maintenance on new and used equipment for sale, resale or demonstrations.
Producing all necessary documents required for performed tasks.
Maintaining upkeep of service vehicles, inventories, tools and equipment.
Develops and maintains positives customer relations.
Respecting the rules and policies relating to Health & Safety standards.
Profile required:
3 years of experience preferred
Experience with the SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), (stick welding) process is an asset.
Registered at CWB an asset.
Vocational diploma in heavy equipment mechanics (construction equipment, agricultural or heavy machinery or related sectors).
Experience in a similar position.
Good knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics & electrical systems.
Manual dexterity.
Ability to diagnose mechanical issues.
Independent, resourceful, and disciplined.
