Position Overview:
This role is responsible for welding operations within the facility. This role will work from drawings and sketches to complete jobs based on production schedule priorities. This role will report to the Production Supervisor.

In this function you will:
Perform welding on aluminum castings, aluminum extrusions, as well as brass components for lighting fixtures
Perform all job duties and tasks with safety in mind, including daily start up checks
Perform all quality checks, fill out Daily Activity Reports
Perform horizontal and vertical welding on a large variety of metals. Small and large parts involving aluminum, stainless steel, cold rolled steel and sometimes brass.
Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities
Works with non conforming material procedures.
Set up and operate parts washer.
Uses jigs fixtures and gauges.
Work from a production schedule
Understand Bill of Materials
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year in manufacturing environment
Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations and use basic handheld measuring tools and/or gages
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of (enter location) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Welder (spot weld, Tig-Weld, etc.), and/or Welder Certification
Physical Requirements:
Standing, sitting, stooping, squatting, lifting can be expected along with other means transfer of tooling, parts, containers and raw castings.
Must be able to frequently lift, push, and pull objects that are up to 35 lbs.

Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to collaborate with others effectively and work in a team environment
Strong initiative to start and complete tasks under the direction of lead or supervisor
