Who You Are…

As a Welder II you are responsible for cutting and joining mild or stainless steel, or other materials, and equipment operation for assembly of structures with precision, specifically precast buildings.

This Position…

Is responsible for working with a production team to manufacture precast products and buildings.

Some examples of the work you might do includes….

Participate in all safe start meetings.

Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations

Follow and initiate 5S standards to maintain work area.

Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on specifications

Setup and align components for welding according to specifications

Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)

Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.

Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

Complete pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified.

Receive AWS Certification – 3G and 4G.

Other duties as assigned.

What Do You Need…

High school diploma or equivalent, preferred

2 to 4 years proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment

Related degree from a technical college, a plus.

Good visual acuity.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents drawings.

Ability to acquire AWS welding certification

Knowledgeable on metal properties

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely and efficiently

Ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Average proficiency in mathematics

Effective hand-eye coordination

Ability to read a tape measure
