Overview
Job Summary
The responsibilities of the Welder position include positioning, aligning, fitting, and welding parts to form complete boom crane units or sub-units, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools. Welders will lift or move materials and finished products, using overhead cranes, hoists, and conveyors.
Responsibilities
- Plan work flow and lay out jobs. Inspect parts for adherence to specifications; grind or torch as needed.
- Read and interpret specifications and documents to define the scope of work on work orders.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions from OEM drawings and schematics.
- Inspect surfaces of cranes and crane parts; determine b
- Perform minor assembly as necessary.
- Move parts to be welded in and out of weld-line.
- Ensure technical specifications and quality standards are met at all levels.
- Complete all required paperwork.
- Operate Class B forklifts
- Assist in maintaining the flow of work through the department.
- Ensure production specifications and quality standards are met.
- Operate and perform final check of finished products.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Follow and comply with all safety regulations and practices.

Skills
- Proven experience as a welder.
- Ability to operate hoist and frequently lift and carry tools and parts
- Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)
- Good understanding of quality control principles
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 – $24.00 per hour
