Inspector – NDT, Level III or IV

As part of a diverse and hardworking team experts, you will perform multiple Nondestructive Testing (NDT) methods for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of assuring part integrity, quality and life span. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Additional responsibilities include:
Under the direction of Production Management, perform a variety of duties involving NDT methods.

Establish and maintain techniques to properly examine hardware, ensuring adherence to all safety and specification requirements

Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria identified on drawing or shop work order

Perform all necessary daily, weekly, monthly process control checks

Documentation and organization of inspection results

Interface/communicate with employees to describe inspection results

Qualifications:
Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space!

Documented proof of training and experience necessary to certify as Level II in at least two volumetric and one surface NDT inspection method, or combination thereof, per NAS-410 Rev 4 requirements

Experience with and ability to operate digital and analog test equipment.

Ability to read and understand electronic blueprints and schematic diagrams.

Experience with AS9100 certification

Experience with MS Office products is required.

Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

Knowledge of industry NDT standards (ex. NAS410, ASTM E164, ASTM 1742, ASTM 1417, AMS-STD-2154, etc…) is requisite

8+ years NDT experience relevant to the stated qualifications is required.

Desired:
Certified Level II or substantive experience in Ultrasonics (UT), Penetrant (PT), Eddy Current (ET), Thermography (IR), Shearography (ST), and Digital Radiography (RT)

Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector Certification

Friction Stir Weld (FSW) volumetric inspection experience.

Composite inspection experience.

Automated data acquisition/robotic collection experience.

Experience with PAUT and post process analysis software

Knowledge of robotic inspection and data acquisition in a 3d software environment
