Overview

SF Mechanical provides a wide array of services that specializes in, but is not limited to, commercial kitchens, small retail stores, and supermarkets.

We install kitchen exhaust hoods, exhaust fans, makeup air units, roof top units, welded ductwork and HVAC distribution ductwork. We are looking to hire an installer as well as a welder with experience in this field.

A suitable installer candidate is able to work independently and on a team. Past project management in this field is an asset.

A suitable welder candidate will have experience in welding 16-gauge material liquid tight. As welding is required for approximately 40% of our projects, the welder will also be assisting with on-site installations.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Welding and/or sheet metal license is an asset

· Driver’s license required with a clean driver’s abstract

· Minimum 1 year of experience in sheet metal field

· Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn

· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment

· Effective and professional communication skills – verbal and written

· Ability to understand and follow safety policies, rules and regulations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

· This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury. Appropriate safety devices must be worn when working with equipment such as safety glasses, safety boots, hard hats, and hearing protection as required and supplied by the company.

· Works outdoors at construction sites.

· Frequently works in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

· Frequently stands, walks, climbs, balances, stoops, and crouches.

· Uses hands to operate equipment and tools.

· Performs heavy physical labor; may lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds.

· Exposed to harsh weather conditions including extremely hot and extremely cold weather.

· Exposed to loud noise, dust and fumes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
